Made in the Shade!

We quite often receive questions about creating a comfortable outdoor environment in the summer.  Much of this question is answered by creating quality shade in this outdoor space.  When it’s BLAZING hot outside…creating shade is very important to make the space livable for outdoor entertaining.  Not to mention so many of our clients are concerned about being protected from the harmful UV light that can lead to skin cancer.  SO….for years we have sold traditional patio umbrellas, which can either go thru a patio table or “free-stand” on their own.  These help to some extent…new for 2011 we are thinking of alternative ways to create shade.

For folks who want the flexibility of creating an outdoor covered area, but want to roll back the shade to see stars at night…we have partnered with Trivantage who makes retractable awnings.  These beautiful awnings are designed to be clean looking…easily mounts to the house…made using Sunbrella Awning grade fabric…quality motor system to reliable extension and retraction.  What a great way to create an environment that feels 20 degrees cooler on a hot summer day.

Another way to create shade is finally get rid of the ugly “pop-up” shade tent sold at the mass retailers. I have seen these gnarled up on the curbside waiting for the trash truck after summer storms.  Treasure Garden has introduced a beautiful 12x12ft garden pavilion using Awning grade Sunbrella fabric that is built on a commercial quality aluminum frame structure.  These units come complete with curtains, and also offer optional shade screens to protect from the setting sun or mosquitoes.
