Sitting at home again in Atlanta because of Snow Jam 2 (the second ice/snow storm that has crippled Atlanta this year). While I have been sitting inside watching the ice cover the streets, entertaining my kids with board games and Disney movies, and helping my wife with laundry and cleaning….it dawns on me how important an outdoor life is to my family. Yes we can enjoy each other company inside the home, but not being able to go outside and use our outdoor space begins to wear down on our lifestyle. My oldest son is itching to go outside and throw the football or practice is lacrosse techniques, my littlest son wants to ride is bike up and down the street, and my wife and I would love just sit outside next to our firepit and enjoy a bottle of wine while watching over the kids!
Bottom line is….to my personal family, having an outdoor “life” is important! Not being able to go outside reminds us HOW important our outdoor lifestyle has become to our everyday life at home. Building and creating an outdoor lifestyle at home will become important in your family’s life as well if you would consider the possiblities. Build your outdoor space to the specifications of your living (ie.how/what kind of living do you want to do outside)….furnish your outdoor space with outdoor durable products (furniture, umbrellas, pillows,etc) that stand the test of time…and you will not only enjoy a new or renewed lifestyle, but at times like now it reminds you how much you love your outdoor living style! Can’t wait for Spring 2014!
