Here in Atlanta, many people really don’t understand how LOW natural gas prices have become…which is good news for many of the homes in the metro area. This means their furnace bills this winter should see a nice “historic” reduction in cost. This ALSO means folks who are considering using gas logs in their fireplace will pay LESS for creating beautiful ambience at home. We often are asked at the store, “How much do gas logs cost to operate”….the math is pretty simple. Assuming your per/Therm rate supplied is .67cents/Therm…a 24” set of vented gas logs would cost around .55 cents/hour to operate.
